Today we continue our discussion about Law of Attraction and the ‘negative’ stuff, as started - bravely - by Ophelia yesterday.

The biggest point here is that we cannot claim responsibility for ‘creating’ all the good stuff, but then consider outside events as things that are ‘happening’ to us, over which we have no control.

While we expect there are many people who will disagree, and argue vehemently that little children do not want to starve to death or that women would not consciously choose to be raped and murdered (I’ve witnessed many such debates in online LOA groups), the fact remains that if this is a LAW, then it applies to everyone and everything - not just some poeple, or under some circumstances.

It is always one of most difficult things to explain Law of Attraction in the midst of unthinkable events. How do you explain that people attract the things they think about in the face of poverty, disease, rape and death? How do you explain that a child chooses to starve to death or that they have brought these things upon themselves? How do you explain that a rape victim would cause their own suffering and torture? If Law of Attraction has any truth to it, then all things should be explained, not just cookie cutter issues but real issues as well.

I read that this morning after Forbes announced that Warren Buffet had to move over to accomodate the new 2nd richest man in the world, Carlos Slim. Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim has quietly overtaken investor Warren Buffet as the world’s second-richest man and is close to wresting the top spot from Bill Gates, Forbes magazine reported Wednesday.

In the two months since Forbes calculated its’ 2007 wealth rankings, the 67-year-old Slim’s fortune rose by $4 billion to $53.1 billion, while Buffett’s holdings slipped to $52.4 billion as of March 29.

After my post yesterday I wanted to share a personal story about the Law of Gestation. Now to everyone looking at the story all the incidents may seem unrelated, but after studying Law of Attraction you realize that it was all related. For a few weeks the Law of Gestation and the need to talk about it has been constantly coming up for me. I look at people’s lives and I see not only the Law of Attraction but the Law of Gestation at work.

For those who don’t know what the Law of Gestation is, it is simply a law that states that it takes time for the unseen to become seen. Now a lot of people talk about the Law of Attraction, but very few mention and discuss the Law of Gestation. It takes time for you to see the effect of your actions.
