I must admit when the thought occurred to me to start this series, I wanted the thought to go away immediately. Like most I didn’t want to talk about it, but internally I needed answers too. I found myself asking this question or saying this thought - Can I truly accept that you attract everything into your life with the Law of Attraction?

It is always a great thing to come up with a YES answer when you think or imagine about the great love, success, wealth or happiness that Law of Attraction can bring you but could I truly accept that it brought pain, death and starving too?… Before I write something that I believe will have people coming at me with pitchforks I always test it out to see if I can handle the backlash and most important I test it out to see how strongly I believe in what I had to say.

I ran this through the same testing system I did for the cabbie driver - which had people for and against me even one person calling me a thief - so I ran it again when 33 people died at the VA Tech shooting this week. I have a friend who says that everything happens for a reason and everything has meaning, but for this subject it was now this is a meaningless tragedy with no reason. WELL WHICH ONE IS IT? Do you believe everything is for a reason and has meaning or don’t you? You cannot ride the fence!

Are you riding the Law of Attraction fence?

Are you riding the Law of Attraction fence, believing in it when it serves you and throwing it away when it doesn’t? You cannot have both. If you believe the Law of Attraction is true then you HAVE to believe that the 33 people who died attracted this to themselves even in a small part whether unconcious or conciously (it has taken me 3 days to write that line). If you don’t believe in Law of Attraction then you can choose to believe that it JUST HAPPENED to them. Now if you cannot accept that people are attracting horrible things to themselves, now is a good time to call it quits with Law of Attraction.

Laws of the Universe are all NEUTRAL

I want to take a moment to step away from Law of Attraction and just talk about the Laws of the Universe, because they are all NEUTRAL. Gravity works to keep us on the ground and it also works when someone jumps off a building. It doesn’t say standing on the ground is good and jumping is bad - it just IS. Rain, snow, sun shines and falls on everyone regardless of prince or pauper doesn’t say prince good, poverty bad - it just IS. Law of Gestation works whether you are planning a life of wealth or a life of struggle. Doesn’t say wealth good and struggle bad - it just IS. Same with Law of Attraction - it doesn’t say wealth, happiness, love good and murder, poverty and rape bad - it just IS. To accept one is to accept the other.

Why is it easier to blame other people than to accept responsibility?

I think for most people it is impossible for them to figure out why anyone would conciously or unconciously choose to starve or get raped or get shot. In Randy Gage’s book ‘Why You Are Dumb, Sick and Broke…’ he speaks about attracting getting himself shot. Most people cannot imagine something for themselves and find it hard to imagine that for anyone else as well. It is hard to imagine the reasons why anyone would want to experience these things.

My daughter has some favorite words - I didn’t do it, it wasn’t me - and we seem to carry that a lot into adulthood - I didn’t do it so it must be someone else’s fault - same with anything. How many people do you know blaming the devil for things? The devil is hard at work I tell you. It’s never them it is the devil, you can’t pay your bills it’s your husband’s fault, you bounce a check it’s the bank’s fault, you have no food, it’s the kids’ fault for eating it…When do we start taking responsiblity for our lives and stop pointing the finger on the nearest person or thing? Anything to prove our innocence.

With the release of The Secret a lot of people have been busy creating parking spaces, coffee and pennies but ask them about poverty, rape and murder and then they no longer believe in Law of Attraction. I’ve gone off track today so tomorrow I’ll continue with my inital series topic which is Poverty/Starvation. Stay tuned.
