The truth shall set you free. I believe it was Jesus who said it, but I’m not quite sure. In any event, there is SO much in this one quote that I just had to write you all about it today. Do you consider yourself an honest person? I am sure you do, but do you ALWAYS tell the truth? Really give that some serious thought. Consider it from all angles.
Okay, are you convinced that you are an honest person, yet? Well, I would like to tell you that you are not. When someone asks you how you are, how do you answer? Do you just smile and say, ‘Fine.’ and continue with your day? Is that the truth, or are you feeling aweful today? Maybe you’re feeling FABULOUS! Do you answer with, ‘Fabulous!’ when you’re feeling fabulous? When your spouse asks you if you want them to take the babies off your hands, do you say, ‘Oh God yes! Thank you,’ or do you put on a brave face and say, ‘No Babe. I can handle it.’
Even if they don’t ask, do you honestly tell your spouse when you need his/her help? Okay, I don’t mean nagging, I mean really saying, ‘Honey, I could really use your help with the dishes.’ When people ask what you want for your birhtday, do you tell the truth or do you downplay your desires believing that the people buying you gifts cannot afford your taste. Perhaps you just decide that you do not want to ask for anything in particular and allow people to give you what you really want.
I have news for you. The Universe will never give you what you truly desire if you do not ask for it. Ask boldy for what you want by telling the truth at all times. There is no need to be cruel but when someone asks if you need something and you really need an afternoon away from the children, say so. Yes and thank you. These words will make your life truly blissful now and forever more.
